We have been aware of the worsening situation regarding players who have had their account stolen, and decided to make this policy to attempt to help the Arena community avoid such situations.

There have been instances where members have asked others if they would like some help playing the games to get Characters for example, and for their password so they can do so. Another may pose as a member of the staff and promise to promote you as moderator or give you extra characters for example in exchange of your password.

These are all scam attempts. Neither moderators or admins ever have a reason to ask for anyone's password.

Your accounts and passwords are your responsibility. It is basic Internet common-sense not to give out your password to strangers, friends, or anyone for that matter. Admins and mods don't even need passwords If for some reason we needed to do anything to your account or profile we are able to do so without your password needing to be iinvolved

In the unfortunate event that your account has been stolen, you can contact any of the moderators/admins providing some kind of proof so that we can confirm you are the original owner of the account. Once we have reviewed your situation we will contact you. Actual account hijacking (you didn't tell your password to the individual) take a much higher priority when handling these situations.

Your password is your responsibility being that it is what gives you the access  to your account.  So we recommend keeping it private. If your account is stolen because you shared or told someone your password we are NOT obligated to help you get it back as it is becoming a huge burden that distracts us from working on the site and games.  This has been decided due to the most common cause of accounts being stolen is passwords being shared.
